Kunstverein EXTRA is pleased to announce in cooperation with Antonia Rahofer a call for applications for four artist residencies for the first half of 2017. The program provides a total of 2 x 2 funded residencies from April to May and from June to July.

The capital of Greece is a city that invites artists to explore its sociocultural, economic, institutional, and architectural conditions and to encounter its vibrant cultural scene. Moreover, from April to July, the city hosts this year’s documenta, which, now in its 14th edition, has vowed to »learn from Athens«.

Your residency will focus on the development and realization of your project plans, the results of which will be presented in an exhibition at the end of your stay. You are free to choose the media and formats you want to utilize.

The local cooperation partner is Snehta Residency, whose wide-ranging international network provides ample opportunities for the chosen artists to make valuable contacts.
